Keeping your Customers and Employees Safe and Informed

It’s more important than ever to ensure your Google Business Page is up to date! Browse through our blog posts to learn how to manage some of these items on your own.

While your business is impacted by COVID-19, ensure your Google Business Listings provides the most accurate information currently available.  For example, changes in business hours, or adding additional details to your description.  You can also update if you will be switching to takeout and/or delivery.  These updates will then be showcased on your Business Profile as well as Google Search and Maps.

Ways to ensure your customers have the latest information about your business:

Hours of Operation: When business hours change, update when you’ll be open or closed. [Learn More]

Create a Post: Share detailed and current updates about what’s happening with your business through Posts. [Learn More]

Manage your Information: Let your customers know whether or not your business operations are affected by COVID-19. Please share information about extra precautions your business is taking, such as moving to takeout and/or delivery only. You can also share whether you’re experiencing delays or if you’re providing any extra services to the community

Temporary Closure: At this time, Google is relying on authoritative data sources, where available, to mark places as “Temporarily Closed” on Google Search and Google Maps.  If your business is incorrectly marked, a business owner with a Google My Business account can directly update their status to reopen and the change will be effective immediately, according to Google.
